Five billing categories, with no hidden line items.

All usage is metered per-minute and displayed in your Billing & Subscription dashboard in real-time.

Pipeline Runtime
ETL/ELT jobs that extract, transform, and load data into your lakehouse. Billed start-to-finish, rounded up to nearest minute.
$5.00 / hour
$0.083 / minute
Automation Runtime
Scheduled workflows and custom container jobs. Metered like pipelines: start to finish, rounded up to nearest minute.
$5.00 / hour
$0.083 / minute
AI Tokens (Databasin One)
Tokens for natural language queries, SQL generation, and AI analysis. A typical interaction uses 2,000–8,000 tokens. Input and output share one flat rate.
$15 / 1M tokens
$0.015 / 1K tokens · $0.000015 / token
Lakehouse Compute
Trino, Doris & Spark cluster compute, billed per node and per minute. Stopped clusters cost nothing.
Size vCPU Memory Per Hour Per Minute
XSmall 4 8 GB $2.00 $0.033
Small 4 16 GB $3.00 $0.050
Medium 8 64 GB $4.00 $0.067
Large 16 128 GB $5.00 $0.083
XLarge 32 256 GB $6.00 $0.100
Storage
Covers the bronze, silver, and gold layers of your lakehouse, plus uploaded files and shared data. Measured as a daily snapshot.
$0.024 / GB / month
$24.00 / TB / month
How it works: Storage is measured once per day, and your bill reflects the latest snapshot rather than the peak. Delete data and your bill drops in the next cycle. Includes all data across all projects.

All usage is billed monthly via Stripe. View current-period usage anytime in Admin → Organization → Billing & Subscription .

Private Azure Tenant · Self-Install

Running in your own tenant means
a different model entirely.

Install Databasin from the Azure Marketplace straight into your own Azure tenant. Self-Install is built for teams that carry their own security and compliance posture. None of the meters on this page apply. You pay Azure directly for your own compute and LLM, and Databasin is licensed per module.

  • Click-and-install from the Azure Marketplace
  • Data never leaves your tenant, so the network, the policies, and the keys stay yours
  • Unlimited seats, per-module licensing
  • Your compute and your LLM, paid straight to Azure with no markup

Why this model

One platform, one meter — not five tools, five invoices

Pipelines, automations, compute, AI, and dashboards are all included in the rates above. There is no separate connector vendor, orchestration tool, BI license, or AI API bill to assemble, and nothing at all is charged while your clusters are stopped. Comparing against a specific stack? See Databasin vs Snowflake or Databasin vs Fabric.

Everything you'd want to know before you start

No. Compute billing only applies while your cluster is running. Stopped clusters have zero cost. You can stop and start clusters anytime from your dashboard.
Yes. Compute resources were consumed regardless of whether the job succeeded or failed. A pipeline that runs for 2 hours and fails at the end is billed for 2 hours. This is consistent with how all cloud compute billing works.
Storage is based on a daily snapshot. Your bill reflects the most recent measurement rather than the peak, so a mid-month cleanup brings it down. Storage includes all data across all projects within your organization.
No. Databasin is purely usage-based. Add as many users as you want. You're only billed for compute, pipeline, AI, and storage usage, which rewards adoption rather than penalizing it.
Contact your Databasin administrator to discuss usage alerts and budget controls. We're building self-serve spending controls for an upcoming release.
Yes. Every new account starts with $50 in credits. That covers running pipelines, querying data, and exploring the platform. No credit card required. When credits run out, add a payment method to continue.
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Invoices are generated at the end of each billing period and visible in Admin → Organization → Billing & Subscription → Invoice History.
Yes. If your organization uses its own LLM API key (BYOLLM), you still pay the Databasin platform token fee for orchestration, schema context, and query governance. Your LLM provider charges are separate.
Yes. Databasin Self-Install deploys from the Azure Marketplace directly into your own tenant, for teams that carry their own security and compliance posture. You get unlimited seats, and you pay Azure directly for your own compute and LLM usage; Databasin is licensed per module. The consumption rates on this page apply to Databasin Cloud only, so contact us for Self-Install licensing.
